Treatment and transport of gas from production processes is closely linked to the area of recovery and heat management. Moreover, utilization of gases for power industry is an extremely important element of technology. These installations, equipped with electrostatic precipitators and bag filters, are increasingly developed and upgraded due to ever-sharper criteria for greenhouse gas emissions. BIPROMET has been strengthening its position in the power industry for over a dozen years. In Poland, efficient electrostatic precipitators were installed.

In the latter, it introduced a unique, the first in Poland innovative solution that consists in using an electrostatic precipitator for a fluidised-bed boiler - the building was awarded the title of "Ecological Implementation of the Year". In addition, modern technologies and equipment for dust extraction and treatment were introduced at EC Kraków, ZEC Bytom-Miechowice, EC Bielsko-Biała and EC II Karolin. Abroad, large investment projects were implemented in the turnkey system for execution of dust extraction installations for the LED VICE Power Plant, KRNOV Thermal Power Plant, KWK DOUBRAVA Thermal Power Plant, and TRZYNIEC Power  Plant.

It is worth emphasizing that BIPROMET, from among many designed technologies, has realized an innovative solution for installation of dust extraction of bituminous masses. Consequently, low-efficiency dedusting using only cyclone dust extractors has been replaced by a two-stage de-dusting system with fabric filters. The above solution was implemented at EC Kraków as part of a project entitled Modernization of electrostatic precipitators of boilers - efficiency of the installation of 120 000 Nm3/h and emission of dust in the standard range of 15 up to 30 mg/Nm3 were reached.
