The raw material sector is one of the economic and social priorities of the economy. Therefore, innovations that improve the efficiency of production processes are of major importance today. From its establishment, BIPROMET has been undertaking the challenges of increasing capacity through design or modernization of technological lines. Within this scope, design and detail engineering is prepared, taking into account maintenance issues, replacement and restoration of an obsolete machine park, expansion of basic production facilities, as well as construction of new complex facilities and plants.

Significant technological and construction projects were implemented for the zinc-lead, copper and aluminium industries, where BIPROMET also undertook investments in the “turnkey” system, among others, construction of the Battery Scrap Processing Plant in Świętochłowice, modernization of Orzel Bialy Plant in Piekary, construction of the Hydroaluminium Plant in Chrzanów and Alupol in Tychy and Contirod Rolling Plant for KGHM Polska Miedź SA.. As a result of projects that improve the efficiency of technological lines, investors have increased production flexibility, reduced costs for materials and energy consumption, increased quality, and reduced harmfulness to the environment.

One of the most important examples of using BIPROMET's design-executive potential was its function as a General Investment Designer as part of the implementation of the comprehensive Pyrometallurgy Modernization Program in Głogów, conducted in 2010-2016 at KGHM Polska Miedź SA. The accomplished design task, in particular regarding the construction of the Electric Furnace, is assessed as a new generation in metallurgical aggregates. BIPROMET implemented an original solution, i.e. an innovative installation of post-combustion, cooling of process gases and very efficient cleaning of process gas in Głogów Copper Smelter.
