The use of modern de-dusting devices that limit the main source of pollution, i.e. dust, is an innovation introduced in the cement industry. Modern methods of de-dusting is based on introduction of devices, such as electrostatic precipitators and bag filters, taking into account the potential of technological installations of cement kilns and working conditions of a cement plant.

At BIPROMET, research and development works on efficient dedusting technology began in the 1960’s, thanks to which modern technical facilities such as construction, electrical and automation laboratories were organized. As a result, the gained know-how allowed us to develop efficient solutions in the field of design and construction of dust extraction installations using electrostatic precipitators for dust extraction from rotary furnaces and bag filters for dust extraction of coal kilns, mills and clinker coolers. What is more, all installations are equipped with modern computerized automation and monitoring systems.

BIPROMET’s most important projects in terms of introducing solutions to clean production in the cement industry include, among others, design and construction of installations for the following cement plants: "Strzelce Opolskie" and "Nowiny" and the oldest cement plant in Poland - "Górażdże". Thus, these plants have achieved high de-dusting efficiency through acquiring neutralization devices for harmful gaseous compounds, lower operating costs, simple operation, and high durability of mechanical dust separators of dry devices (bags and fabrics) and wet scrubbers, and electrostatic precipitators.
